Pathways to Community Vitality training

Register Today!

Registration is now open for the Heartland Center for Leadership Development’s Pathways to Community Vitality: Helping Small Towns Succeed Institute.  The 3-day conference will take place October 23-25, 2012 at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center in Nebraska City, Nebraska.

The focus of the institute includes:

  • Building Entrepreneurial Communities
  • Engaging and Empowering Youth
  • Utilizing Social Media to Strengthen Community Capitals
  • Creating a Unique Community Brand
  • Recruiting Alumni and Newcomers
  • Moving from Vision to Action

The $450 registration fee covers tuition, breaks during the three days and lunch from Tuesday through Thursday.  Dinner meals are on your own and there is a wide variety of restaurants in Nebraska City.  Lodging accommodations at the Lied Lodge are $119.00/single and $129.00/double plus tax and includes next day breakfast.

Heartland Center is partnering with the Sherwood Foundation to provide scholarships for rural Nebraska community leadership teams to attend this year’s institute.  Teams of two or more leaders from rural Nebraska communities will receive first priority consideration.  Our partnership with the Sherwood Foundation will result in a registration fee of only $150.00 per Nebraska rural community team member for this three-day hands-on training program, compared to the regular fee of $450.00 per person.

Registrations may fill up quickly, and capacity is limited by the training facilities at Lied Lodge.  To guarantee availability, call 800-546-5433 by September 22 and ask for the Heartland Center rate.  Click on the links to get more information about the institute and to register.
